Your Wedding Stories - Featured on Rock My Wedding

This Wedding Story is of Lottie and Tom at the stunning Ridge Farm in Surrey and has also been featured on well known UK wedding blog Rock my Wedding. Ridge farm is a cool privately owned venue that was an old recording studio seen by the likes of Pearl Jam, Wet Wet Wet and Oasis. When I had the initial wedding discovery call with them, Lottie asked for flamingos and disco balls; I knew they were going to be a great couple to work with a cool, fun couple looking for relaxed vibes, but had a great eye for detail. They contracted me to help with partial wedding planning, they had the venue, but needed help with a few more suppliers including catering, furniture, stationery and signage, extra styling, additional entertainment, florist, design and guest transport.

We arrived the day before the wedding to see various suppliers arrive with items to set up. On the day itself it started with the bride getting ready in the cottage and groom in the main house and the ceremony took place in a gorgeous local Church, guests were transported by a green vintage bus and the bride and groom travelled separately by land-rover. A beautiful ceremony featuring their gorgeous dog 'Brains'. After the ceremony and some photos at the church everyone returned to Ridge Farm, there was wooden hand painted signed to lead the way, the drinks reception took place the lawns with refreshing drinks (it so happened to be the hottest day of the year!) canapés and oysters. There was colourful vintage furniture and styling dotted around along with lawn games and flamingoswithin the decor. The final touch to the drinks reception was the land-rover DJ playing ibiza chill out tunes.

The wedding breakfast took place in the venues transformed pool house which had long rustic wooden tables and cross back chairs, with a mixture of pastel colours florals and candles, along with place settings of blue napkins, green water glass, gold cutlery and pink menus. There were a collection of disco balls and foliage hanging from the ceiling to complete the room. The wedding breakfast was all about sharing food with sharing seafood starters and then a sharing main feast with each table having a designated carver (complete with chefs hat!) finishing with sharing Eton Messes.

After dinner the guests were invited to a secret forest location for some heart warming speeches while myself and the venue team turned the wedding breakfast room around into the party, tables were removed, cocktail station and photo booth were set up, and then a DJ and band were ready to play into the night. The first dance took place outside under some atmospheric festoon light complete with confetti canons. A Mexican food truck was serving guests into the night and both Lottie and Tom had a great outfit change and re-enterd the party via a sparkler tunnel.

With Glamping tents and accommodation on site, many guests partied the night away. The next day included pool time (the pool house had been returned to normal) and chilled brunching food. You can see the Rock My Wedding feature here with some more photos and Lottie's own words of the day.

I loved working on this fun, vibrant wedding that showed lots of personality of the couple. Lotte and Tom thanks for choosing me to be your planner, I had so much fun working with you and wishing you the happiest of lives together filled with adventures.
