This is the wedding story of Julia and Ben, they came to me at the start of wedding planning as they wanted a large Marquee wedding with no idea how to do it. It would be at Julia's family home in Buckinghamshire inviting 190 guests from across the world to celebrate with them, complete with a glamping village to accommodate friends and family. Julia envisioned having bright pink as the key colour for this summer wedding, so this was important within the florals (along with green) and on the bridesmaids dresses.
Julia got ready at her family home, where the wedding reception was taking place and they opted to do a first look which was a really special moment for them. Everyone then travelled to a local Catholic Church where they had the wedding ceremony. Approx 190 guests came and we had transport organised and waiting for everyone to transfer back to the reception after. They were greeted with Champagne as soon as they arrived back at the house. The stationery had a watercolour painting of the family home created by a family member which made a nice personal touch. The drinks reception took place amongst the beautiful family rose garden.
The marquee continued the colour theme with florals, along with green foliage, pink candles and then introduced a touch of blue on the table in the form of glassware. There were 4 heartfelt speeches and a delicious three course meal by Kingfisher Catering.
After the meal the did a surprise happy birthday for Ben's mum complete with a surprise birthday cake. After the dinner they had a first dance before Julia went for a dress change. The evening entertainment was provided by Truly Medley Deeply and they had everyone on the dance floor all night. Half way through the night they did the cake cutting and and at midnight the party continued in the family barn, with everyone glamping on site they got to carry on the party until the early hours of the morning.
This was such a fun wedding to plan with this couple and their families. Thank you Julia and Ben for choosing me to bring your magical celebration to life. I hope you are having a wonderful first year of. marriage so far and wishing you many more.
