Ellie and Sam celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Kin House in Wiltshire in September 2025. Having already secured their dream venue, they came to Your Story Events for our Full Planning Service to help bring their vision to life. From our very first conversations, it was clear they wanted a wedding that felt completely authentic to them. Every decision needed to feel intentional, carefully considered, and each part of the day designed to seamlessly flow into the next. More than anything, they wanted their guests to experience moments of surprise throughout the celebration, with each space revealing something new. All the incredible photos were captured by New York Based Michaela Jelin.

After a wonderful welcome dinner the evening before, the wedding morning began in the most relaxed way. Sam enjoyed a morning swim in the pool while Ellie spent a calm morning getting ready with her bridesmaids, soaking up every moment before the celebrations began. Their ceremony took place in Kin House's beautiful Garden Room, where guests were welcomed by the sound of a live pianist. Bright, contemporary florals on plinths framed the ceremony beautifully, creating a modern yet romantic setting. Alongside their civil ceremony, Ellie and Sam included thoughtful personal touches, including inviting each of bridal party to place a meaningful item into a memory box for them to open together in years to come - a lovely reflection of the people who mean the most to them.

Following a joyful confetti moment on the lawns, guests enjoyed drinks and canapés on the terrace while making the most of one of the day's first surprises: Clayzer Clay Pigeon shooting! It proved to be a hit and gave guests something different to enjoy while mingling. Throughout the drinks reception, one of the couple's family friends performed acoustic music, creating a relaxed and personal atmosphere.

Guests were then invited into Kilvert Hall for the wedding breakfast, where they were welcomed by the bride's sister performing At Last - a moment that set the tone perfectly. The wedding breakfast design beautifully reflected both Ellie and Sam's personalities. Vibrant pink florals celebrated Ellie's love of colour, while carefully styled fruit incorporated into the tablescape nodded to Sam's passion for cooking and hosting. Every element felt modern, stylish and uniquely theirs. Dinner itself was equally personal, with a bespoke feasting-style menu inspired by some of the couple's favourite restaurants. After heartfelt speeches, the celebrations continued as guests were invited into the Hearth Room for a fun-filled cocktail and casino hour.

This became another memorable reveal of the day, complete with three casino tables (The couple love Vegas!) personalised casino chips, his and hers signature cocktails, a deck of cards guest book, and a live jazz band creating the perfect atmosphere. It was here that Ellie and Sam also shared their first dance, making the moment feel intimate and romantic before the evening party truly began. Then came perhaps the biggest reveal of the entire day.

Guests followed the couple into a completely reimagined Kilvert Bar, transformed into an industrial-inspired nightclub complete with LED warehouse vibes -a nod to Ellie and Sam's shared love of festivals, gigs and nightlife, we named this 'Club Kin presenting The Taylor Room' in true club style. As guests entered, they discovered another surprise waiting for them: A Taylor Room merch stand. Complete with branded hats, bags, socks and T-shirts, it was a fun keepsake that perfectly captured the energy of the evening and the couple perfectly.

One of the biggest surprises came when Sam stepped behind the DJ decks himself, having secretly spent months learning to DJ especially for this moment. It was an unforgettable addition to the party, then the incredible DJ Sasha Gigi kept the dance floor packed for the rest of the evening. As a wedding planner, these are the celebrations I love creating, the weddings where every transition has purpose, every detail tells part of the couple's story, and guests are taken on a journey from one unforgettable moment to the next.

It was such a privilege to be Ellie and Sam's wedding planner at Kin House and help bring their vision to life. Their celebration perfectly balanced thoughtful design, incredible entertainment and meaningful personal touches, creating a day that felt effortlessly stylish while remaining completely true to who they are.

Ellie and Sam's Kind words:

"We worked with Mel for our wedding at Kin House in September 2025, and we genuinely couldn’t have been happier with our day. The weekend ran so smoothly, all the little details were handled quietly in the background, and we never felt stressed or pulled in different directions. Even when things needed tweaking, Mel just sorted it without any fuss.

We had a lot of moving parts as we never wanted to sit still for long, so the day was quite complex and we couldn’t have achieved a wedding of that scale without Mel’s support. If anything went wrong, we had no idea. Every element was ready for us exactly when we needed it, which was the main reason we knew we wanted a planner.

In the lead-up, Mel was so accommodating of our chaotic work schedules and late hours, and she always made communication easy. On the day itself, Mel and her team were calm, professional, and lovely to have around.

We’re so grateful for everything she did. We absolutely loved our wedding, and Mel played a huge part in making it feel so special!"

Ellie and Sam thank you both for trusting Your Story Events with your wedding. It was a joy to be part of your story.
