London is full of unique, quirky places to hold a wedding – you just need to know where to find them! For couples seeking industrial wedding venues, you need to look deeper into the city, where historical warehouses, factories and railway archways have been modernised into cool urban wedding venues, complete with stripped-back architecture, original features, and bare brick backdrops. I’ve gathered my top 5 London locations to get you started. And if you decide that you need a professional wedding planner - my services are there for you!
One of Trinity Bouy’s most extinguishing features is that it’s connected to London’s only lighthouse! Along with the exposed brick interior, this East London venue offers a stunning spot for statement wedding photos. Located on the bank of the River Thames, not only can you soak up views of the O2 Arena and the Docklands, but I also love the little details, like your guests arriving by boat on your special day.
Inside the Trinity Bouy, white brick walls provide the perfect canvas for your wedding theme with beautiful curved windows, nooks and wooden beams. The atmospheric lighting consists of spotlights, sleek pendants, and string lighting to transition your wedding day from ceremony to wedding breakfast to cocktails. For the all-night partygoers, the venue also has a 1 am license to continue your celebrations!

Based in the heart of Brixton, this 18th-century furniture factory has been transformed into a gorgeous, open-plan London wedding venue. If lighting plays an important part in your wedding décor, this is the space for you. Optimising the original exposed beams and high ceilings, the 100 Barrington can incorporate ribbons of fairy lights, festoon lighting and multi-coloured up-lighters to create an enthusing atmosphere. Then there’s the dramatic bricked archway and statement chandelier for the perfect picture moment.
With easy public transport routes for your guests, this venue is licensed for Civil Marriages and Civil Partnerships. Their on-site bar offers drinks or corkage packages, and they can cater to up to 120 guests for a seated meal served on their beautiful banquet tables and chairs.

When it comes to capacity, this is the biggest wedding venue within my top 5. Located in West London (between Kensal Green and Willesden), Loft Studios provides a stylish and electric vibe for couples looking for an out-of-the-box wedding. Preserving the exposed brickwork and oak flooring of this Victorian warehouse, its high-vaulted ceilings and plentiful windows pour in lots of daylight to capture your day.
The building consists of 5 interlinking rooms, which means you can extend your party as wide as you wish. Each space has its own characteristics, such as skylights, uncovered brickwork, iconic black wrought-iron window frames, photo studio-inspired white walls, personalised bars, exclusive dressing rooms, and a secluded courtyard! Basically, the Loft Studios are ready to be dressed to your wedding vision.

Previously a Victorian stable for tram-pulling horses in the 19th Century, Islington Metal Works has been refurbished into a multifloored, stylish, industrious wedding venue. With six spacious rooms split across three floors, there’s plenty of space for couples with big wedding parties and big wedding plans!
However, it does also cater for weddings of all sizes as the most popular spaces for your big day are located on the ground floor: The Courtyard and Glass House are quirky, interconnecting rooms filled with fresh foliage and natural lighting from the glass roof that compliment your urban wedding vibe. Situated close to Islington Town Hall, it’s the perfect spot for couples hoping to have their wedding ceremony venues nearby.

5. Wild By Tart
For food lovers who know the menu is a priority for their wedding, Wild By Tart has you covered. This restaurant wedding venue in South West London combines a dreamy, metropolitan venue with carefully crafted, delicious meals.
Wild By Tart understands the combination of good food and beautiful settings, and that’s why they tailor their menu and cocktails to your preferences and the time of year you’re getting married. Whether you choose the intimate Mezzanine for your wedding reception, The Studio with its statement glass-panelled ceiling, or the entire venue, you won’t be disappointed.
The muted, monochrome décor fits seamlessly into urban and industrial wedding themes, with their long tables suiting floral centrepieces, coloured tableware, or romantic tapered candles – whatever you want! The venue can be dressed with lots of greenery and heaps of lighting to create a unique wedding setting.

As impressive as these industrial city wedding venues are, you may have spotted that many aren’t licensed for weddings or have zero on-site accommodation. But that’s where a wedding planner can help. If you need support incorporating an urban city venue into your wedding plans, I’d love to hear from you. Be it a full wedding planning or wedding day management, i've got you covered.
