As a wedding planner, I’m lucky enough to step inside some of London’s most beautiful spaces — from faded grandeur to botanical beauty, and everything in between. These are a small selection of the London venues I just love. Places with presence and personality. And that quiet magic that sets the tone for something truly special.
If you’re planning a London wedding and looking for a venue with real atmosphere, here’s a curated list of favourites — whether you’re dreaming of something urban and undone or utterly iconic.
Two Temple Place – Timeless elegance with a riverside view
Tucked away on the Embankment, Two Temple Place is a hidden gem. With its grand stone façade and sweeping views over the Thames, it feels quietly impressive. Perfect for couples who love a classic setting with just a hint of formality. Think: understated florals and a candlelit dinner that feels like a love letter to London. Inside, a dramatic oak staircase sets the tone the moment guests arrive — full of character, history and just the right amount of grandeur. With several distinctive rooms across the venue, it also works beautifully for weddings with different phases — from elegant ceremonies to intimate dinners and late-night dancing.

Kew Gardens – Where glasshouse grandeur meets nature at its finest
Kew Gardens is one of those venues that just takes your breath away. The iconic glasshouses, the vast lawns, the changing light — it’s endlessly romantic and transportive. From the elegant Nash Conservatory to the jaw-dropping Temperate House, every corner of Kew brings a sense of wonder. It’s ideal for flower-forward styling and for couples who want nature to play a starring role. The versatility of the spaces also allows your day to gently unfold, with each chapter set against a different, magical backdrop. We love Kew Gardens weddings so much, it needed its own journal post — which you can read here.
Syon Park – Old-world romance and architectural drama
Syon Park is the kind of venue that lingers in your memory long after you’ve left. Syon House itself is steeped in history, with a magnificent Great Hall framed by statues and elegant marble — perfect for a ceremony that feels regal yet intimate. Just steps away, The Great Conservatory is a showstopper in its own right — filled with palms, soft golden light, and soaring glass ceilings that feel dreamlike. It’s timeless but bold, and brings a real sense of grandeur without feeling too formal. With its sweeping grounds and contrasting spaces, it’s the perfect blend of stately beauty and botanical magic.
The Ned – Deco decadence in the heart of the city
Step into The Ned and you're instantly transported. The former banking hall — all polished marble, soaring ceilings and vintage glamour — sets the scene for a celebration that feels indulgent from the very first moment. There’s a certain opulence here that works beautifully for black tie weddings and stylish soirées. Add a live show band, a champagne tower, and you’ve got a night to remember. Beyond the main hall, The Ned also offers a collection of beautifully styled private rooms and terraces, allowing you to host each part of your day — from ceremony to dinner to dancing — in a different, equally striking setting.

Kimpton Fitzroy – 1920s charm with a modern mood
If you’re drawn to the elegance of the Art Deco era, Palm Court at the Kimpton Fitzroy is a dream. Light-filled and beautifully curated, the space feels both intimate and expansive — the kind of place where time slows down. It’s perfect for a champagne reception or a smaller celebration with impact. The soaring glass ceiling and indoor palms give it a transportive, almost film-set quality, while the hotel’s rich heritage adds just the right amount of gravitas. It’s stylish, romantic, and unforgettable.
Old Sessions House – Urban edge with a romantic heart
For couples who love character, Old Sessions House is something special. It’s raw, it’s textural, and it tells its own story — full of faded walls, original features and an almost cinematic quality. The space is endlessly versatile, whether you go minimalist and modern or rich and dramatic. There’s a beautiful balance between the building’s historic bones and its contemporary styling that creates instant atmosphere. It’s a venue that doesn’t need dressing up — but it’s also a blank canvas for bold ideas.
The V&A Museum – Iconic, awe-inspiring, and unapologetically grand
If you're dreaming of a wedding on a truly monumental scale, the V&A is your moment. This isn’t just a venue — it’s a statement. From the sweeping Hintze Hall to the intimacy of the John Madejski Garden, every corner is iconic. Perfect for couples who love design, architecture and making memories in the most breathtaking setting imaginable. The museum’s ornate details and dramatic scale create a backdrop where even the simplest moments feel cinematic.

Whether you’re drawn to something full of history or light-filled and contemporary, your venue sets the tone for everything else. It should feel like a reflection of you — your story, your style, your idea of celebration.
